I will be updating this list if / as I find more.

My first problem is the latches on the bottom of the camera that secure the back case. One of them is strong while the other is so weak that it can move 360 degrees around.

I have used a screw driver to take the screw out. It is about 0.3 cm long while the hole on the inside of the screw looks about 0.8cm or so. I have tried screwing it back in the 'open' position but it reaches it's tension point and can't turn anymore. While the latch at the bottom can still do 360 degrees.

Any ideas?

Next... rattle on the upper body.

The main pivot disc isn't engaged on the shaft properly. Remove the 8mm cylindrical nut. Note the channeled area on the underside of the pivot and the stop tab. You'll see how it works. Be sure and apply upward pressure from below when reinstalling the pivot to overcome the tension from the bottom spring washer so as to get the shaft up high enough. In the open position, the elongated side of the pivot should be pointing roughly to 11 o'clock. Put the 8mm nut back on and check the turning/locking action. If ok, reinstall and tighten the 3mm screw.

A rattle ? I wonder what that could be 😱

Great! I did listen to it a few times wondering the same thing as it was a slight rattle and it is definitely from the top plate. Can't wait to go shooting.

Cheers martin_t thanks to your description I worked it out. Now it is working fine. Thanks

I was shooting with some film and then I noticed that the winder wouldn't stop. Instead when it get's to where it should, it clicks over and does a complete 360. I've taken the film out and now am wondering what to do.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as always.
