Chris in the hospital

Sounds awful, hope you feel better soon.

For those of us who haven't (knock on wood) experienced this, are there any recommended Dos and Don'ts for avoiding it?

"Been there, done that" Avoiding foods with high oxalates helps according my doctor. Unfortunately, except for spinach and rhubarb, most of the others are difficult to avoid completely, strawberries, chocolate, peanuts etc.
Get well soon!

Follow your doctor’s advice. Modifying dietary oxalate won’t help if the crystals are uric acid, struvite or cystine. It depends on what sort of stones you have.

Sorry to hear about your tribulations, Chris. Take all the time you need to mend. Sneaky will probably do his best to make you feel better.

Chris, did you get a nice "welcome home" from Sneaky?

- Murray

Mack (my son) said that Sneaky was really upset while I was in the hospital. At one point, he demanded to go outside and didn't return for 30 hours. 🙁

Since I got home, he has barely wanted out, only long enough to pee and poop; no roaming or fighting or murder. He has temporarily suspended his usual greed and feline self-centeredness; asking for food less often and spending all his time curled up next to me.
