One of our suppliers gave me a $100 Amex gift card for the holidays.

Debating 20 rolls of Portra 400 and one of Tri-X from Amazon vs 35 rolls of Tri-X (Arista Premium) from Freestyle.

I've already got ~50 rolls of Neopan 400, Arista Premium and HP5+, down to ~10 of Portra 400 and Provia 400X in 120.

Do I want to feed the new Rolleiflex or my Leica...

happy holidays indeed.

as for me I promise that 2012 will be the year of the finished print
so I am buying lots of Tri-x 35mm, 120, 4x5 and enough paper and chemistry to last the year (must not look at new gear, must not look at new gear, must not look at new gear........)

Can you post comparison scans?

I agree with the statement. I use my Canoscan 9950F for 35mm contact sheets and high-res 6x6cm and 4x5in final scans. For final 35mm scans I use my Plustek 7500. I didn't like the included silverfast software for my b&w images so I bought vuescan after getting better results with the demo. The Plustek is designed for 35mm single frame scans. Check my flickr portfolio.
