This year for something different. One camera, one lens. (hmm...can't post any photos for attachments on RFF at the moment...)

1. No RF
2. Leica R4 with 50 Cron and the motor drive
3. Kodak Portra 400
4. No flash!

Since today is Christmas Eve, I will not be able to post any photos until next week sometime. Anyone else going all film for Christmas this year, using an SLR of any brand?

Hey Dave!
Merry Christmas to you and Linda!
And all the other SE folks we meet with--our meetings have been fun and great learning experiences for me.
Thanks for putting them together...
Many more next year!
Paul

You are welcome, Paul...Merry Christmas to you and your family. Wishing the best for the holidays and the coming year!🙂

I tried to take holiday pictures.

A few things were confirmed to me:
1. no one seems to be able to figure my cameras out
2. your family will insist on taking terrible, awkward photographs when all you really wanted to do was take a few snaps of people enjoying themselves.

I'm going to finish the roll of Arista Premium 400 in my Canon AV-1 SLR. I've had fun with this camera. It's aperature priority only. Are you doing a one camera one lens for 2012 Dave? BTW hope you and your wife have a special & wonderful Christmas. It was a pleasure to get to meet all you guys in Atlanta this year.

Thanks, Greg...no, I am trying my best to gear up my Leica bag for my documentary work as well as consolidate and complete a lightweight Nikon bag for fun. I have no way to move to digital in 2012 for my color work so I must concentrate on what I need for a color documentary beginning in the Spring.

Oh, a few minutes after I posted this thread, our family traditional Christmas dinner was cancelled. So, no pics this year. Looks like a lonely Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Never been alone for Christmas before.😱

Where is that egg nog?😛 The REAL stuff?

I & the wife spend almost all our Christmases alone. The boys are grown & wifes & girlfriends drag them to their parents. My wife isn't much able to throw dinners anyhow so we really have grown use to enjoying the quiet time. So spend a quality day with your mate & enjoy the day anyhow!🙂
