With all the info out there regarding smoking, it's interesting how many people not only continue to smoke, but start smoking. Clearly the social aspect and self-image are powerful. Has the huge cost of smoking reduced the number of smokers? I have no idea, and offer no judgments, only photos. This past Saturday while buying a drink at a Coney Island bodega I was fascinated to see locals purchasing cigarettes, not by the carton or pack, but one at a time. As a photographer I confess to prizing good smoker photos. So here are three smoker photos, post'em if you got'em 🙂 But please post ones shot from 2010 onward to stay within the theme of examining current smokers.

1/3 of the Cuban population smoke cigarettes. The large majority smoke the Cuban produced unfiltered ones that cost the equivalent of $.60 per pack but there are also the filtered ones for $1.20. "NO SMOKING" signs are generally interpreted as only a suggestion.
