This is your second post and you already call another member stupid?
I see great future for you here, noob!
You joined in March 2008 and you are using noob. Does this mean the longer you're a member of RFF the more qualified you are? I don't get it.

He didn't call you stupid. He stated that your comments following the posting of the photo was stupid. Which according to following post read, tend to agree. This is your second post and you already call another member stupid?

I think everything is larger in Le Pays Basque. Sort of like the Texas of the Iberian Peninsula.

He gave you an honest opinion which you ask for here in your Street manifesto
He only said that your comments were stupid, as you agree here
... When I reach your age I hope to be a kind and benign old man passing down my wisdom and shooting landscape with a large format camera.

Nh3, you're a bafflement. You ask for opinions then berate people. You name call, misread posts and don't even look at the galleries of people you criticize. Perhaps it might be worthwhile to post less and sift through the galleries. Many top notch photographers are there and all you have to do is study what they do.
If you re read this thread you seem antagonistic to the very criticism you ask for. One more suggestion, if you have a first name, feel free to use it most of the members here do so as a courtesy.

I just call it how it is, I personally see nothing special in that photo. That photo has a lot of clutter that takes away the attention from the main subject. It also doesn't help that the main subject is in a white shirt which clashes with the other white shirts and those big white tents in the background. A side profile shot within a crowd does nothing for me, there is no connection between the viewer and the subject, expression of emotions are absent.

For what it's worth, I quite like the subject of this shot. I dont like smoking, and those sunglasses arent my taste, but the guy certainly looks comfortable with himself. I'd probably make a picture of him too, but for vastly different reasons than Nh3 has.
I think its a decent shot. However the framing is a bit dull and I agree that the angle is awkward. Good job anway, Nh3.

My intention with this picture is to show how uncool smoking can look and looking at this guy's sunglasses, his pose and his mouth sucking on that cigarette makes me cringe - this picture also makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason - it could be the guilt of making this guy an example or recalling my own smoking days - i don't know.
I also hate pretentious sunglasses which everyone seems to be wearing these days even indoors and at night!
This photo also mocks smoking and sunglasses - two of the major cliches in street photography...
If by looking at this photo people will stop smoking and stop wearing pretentious sunglasses I think I have achieved something in life!
The picture doesn't work for me. The subject matter and the composition seems lost (at least to me)
And I don't think anyone will stop smoking or wearing sunglasses by looking at it.
Cheers,
p.s. It should be cigarette, not ciggerete.
