Colourisation is an interesting question, historically. If you're going to do it, at least this process appears to be a little more subtle than some I've seen.

My reaction is the same I had back in the 1980's when Ted Turner started to colorize some of the old, classic B&W 1930's MGM films. Like, why bother?

My grandmother used to hand color prints for girlfriends and wives of GI's during WWII. It was better for them than the standard B&W image of someone that may never come home.
