Got a CL, the rf was off so I adjusted infinity and vertical alignment but encountered the following Problem: close distances are way off (2,5 m are 3 m etc.). I don't have the original 40 cron but a 50.
Is there a way to adjust linearity of the rangefinder?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, so I took the top cover and the rf arm off. There is no conventional way to adjust close focus on the CL (the rangefinder arm can't be adjusted, it's position is fixed).
A closer look at the (moving) lens of the Rf mechanism led me to the conclusion that it fell out of it's "rail" - hence the problem with linearity. After re-positioning the lens and a bit of cleaning linearity was back! The rf-patch is contrasty and all is fine except for the dead meter 😀 .

Conclusion: The rf mechnism of the CL isn't super precise so there is no way (and need) to fine tune it.
If you encounter problems with linearity, put the top cover off and inspect the rf mechanism (it's fragile and not Leica-like IMO).
