Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations for a repair person who would be able to CLA my Yashica D. I know they aren't that expensive but this one has some personal value to me and I enjoy using it so I'd like to get it back and running in tip top shape.

Thanks,

Jim

THE guy for Yashica repairs is Mark Hama.

I asked him how much it would cost for a replacement part (cds cell) for a Yashica MG-1 once. He sent me a like new MG-1, at no charge. I like tinkering with cameras and would really prefer to have had the cds cell, but still, what a guy!

jmooneyI whole heartedly agree with cmedin and FallisPhoto on Mark Hama. Had a Minolta Autocord CdS CLA'd recently by Mark and he did an excellent job. He will even send you a photo of your camera disassembled showing the parts, etc. during cleaning. Somewhat expensive but you get what you pay for.Charles

Does MH work on Zeiss Ikoflex, does anyone know? I'm in Atlanta.

*edit* I did send him an email (wouldn't want to seem overly <strike>dependent</strike> needy, LOL)

*edit2* He does, and I dropped it off with him this afternoon. Will report results.

The very best guy for the job is unquestionably Mark Hama. However, I've done some of them, I'm competent and I believe I can beat his price. I charge $80.
