I just received a Yashica YK and have a Minister 700 on its way. The YK finder is probably in need for service since the RF patch is barely visible. The Minister 700 was a cheapo in good optical condition (20 Euro) and I will have to see if it also needs some service. Does anyone know a good address preferably in Germany?

Yes, of course. But lefthanded twice it is a problem for me
I am not really familiar with all this fine mechanical stuff. But if there is no professional service I assume I will have to invest some time and learn it. Are Yashicas a good start for that?

well, unless there's a serious problem, they are. Especially because they are reasonably cheap (if broken) and because there's not much other to do - the service on them if done by a competent, known technician, would cost way too much.
My hands were shaking as well, when I first time took off the top plate of the GSN. But we both survived.

Ok, I did it
It was not that complicated to remove the cap thanks to the yashica-guy.com page. The finder glasses could be cleaned without problems but it seems that the beam splitter is a bit corroded. Therefore the patch is nearly invisible. Too bad. Maybe somewhen I find a second YK with a better one for replacement.
