Hey guys!

My little sweetheart (m6ttl) has finally come to need some long awaited service. The only thing is that I'm not 100% sure on where to send her, since I live in Sweden.

So I was wondering if you could perhaps recommend a few good repair men that know what they are doing and are experienced with Leica cameras. Preferably in Sweden, but Denmark is also an option since it's only a 20 minute ride with train to Copenhagen, from where I live.

Thanks!

If you live 20 min. from Copenhagen I would recommend that you contact Photografica which probably is the best photo shop in scandinavia. Only visiting the shop is an unforgettable experience. Leica is big in Denmark, relatively speaking. Much thanks to Photographica. A CLA is a standard procedure for just any competent Leica repairshop.

Okay, thanks guy. Ill see how much Photographica charges and then compare them.

There's also a small repair job that needs to be done (the trigger button has become "sticky"), so that was my main concern.

Thanks for the help!

Photographica is good and they know their Leica's. Beware of visiting the store though. You will experience this sudden urge to get more stuff! You obviously live in Malmo so no big deal going there.
The sticky release is most likely just a regreasing of the shaft, but occasionally the switch for the meter connection can come adrift and need to be ither replaced or adjusted. In either case, not a big deal.
Spent many years in Malmo/Lund as well as a couple of years in Copenhagen (1972/73). This was before Photographica though, but I have dealt with them later and always found them pleasant and knowledgeble.

I have no experience with CLA at Photografica, but I know they can do it or have it done.

But just go there anyway. That is one gorgeous shop. Especially after their rebuilt. They have A LOT of Leica gear, but also knows what to charge for it... or maybe they don't and put the price up there for safety. 🙄
