CLA --> Recommendations in Vancouver

Hi Tom A.,

Who do you use for your M2 CLAs? Do you use Horst Wenzel? Or do you send away to Kindermann? Do you have any recommendations?

I use Horst for basic services of M2's and my Nikon Rf's. If it is a M6 or anything else with electronics in it - it goes to Jerry at Kindermann in Toronto.
Horst is good and quick. I have to drop off a S4 and a M2 for service in the next while, The M2 was bought a year ago and had a "ratty" curtain - time to have it done. The Nikon S4 insists on either not firing or have a delayed action firing.

I have the same answer as Tom. My M6 just got back from Gerry - full CLA and VF upgrade. Great work at a reasonable price.
Horst just got my M4 and newly-acquired Summicron for a tune-up. Always a pleasure to go by his place and chat about cameras and battleships!
There is a fellow at Camtex named Heinz who works on Leica, Hasselblad etc. Camtex just brought my Panasonic LC1 back from the dead for WAY cheaper than the authorized Panasonic shop. Highly recommended!

Do you have contact information for Horst Wenzel. I am looking into having someone recover my M6 with Kameraleather Black Lizard Skin and am too busy to attempt it myself.
