Currently at Ebay is up a hybrid item from a Dutch expert who claims " I made the camera as Prototype to create the ultimate 6x9". Apparently it has a GW690 body with a MC Super-Angulon 47mm and some other components.
I admit I do not yet fully understand what limitations of the Fuji 6x9 cameras this hybrid prototype helps to overcome.
Any expert on the forum who is willing to enlighten an ignorant G690 enthusiast. I appreciate that elaborating quasi-drawbacks and alternative offers helps focus on the essence of what GXX690xx are really good at;-)
ebay item number is 7557707051 (I have no commercial interest)

I've seen the listing. In fact, I believe I was clued in by someone here for the same auction. What makes it super-fantastic special? I guess the 47mm Super Angulon. I have the G690 with two lenses (100mm and 180mm) and I am told they made a 50mm, which would be nearly as wide - but I've never seen one. I have seen the 65mm and someday would like one, but they cost too much for my pocketbook. So 47mm on a 6x9 format and a rangefinder to boot would be unique, as far as I know.

I frankly wouldn't want one this wide - but I'm not really a huge fan of landscapes and wide-angle in general, so there you go. I find this pretty neat, though. Just fairly high up on the geek-o-matic scale.

Best Regards,

A 47mm, I would agree. However, the Universal and Super Press 23 take 6x9 backs and there is a superb 50mm for " ... huge fan(s) of landscapes and wide-angle in general ..." So there you go, sir. :p
