Hi!

My Canon 7 needs an overhaul: the shutter is a bit sticky at slow speeds (>1/15) and I still have not succeeded in finding/making an appropriate tool for realigning the RF. Does anyone know of/or can recommend a camera repair person, preferably in Germany but anyplace inside the EU is fine?

Thanks Jeroen!

That is also an attractive alternative, and even better their page was available in English (my German is still fairly weak).

Anymore places/recommendations?

Cheers,

Anders

Hi Anders,

I was also looking for someone in Germany to do a CLA for my recently bought old RFs. After same time searching the Net I found this address which I can really recommend (BTW, I don't have any business related connections them):

Dimas-Fototechnik

They did a tremendous work on my Olympus 35 SP! I was really blown away the first time I looked through the fresh cleaned finder which had been very cloudy!

The prices including the shipping are very reasonable and they answer quickly and friendly any email from you.

In the next week I will send them my Black Canonet G3 QL17, Olympus XA and Yashica 35 GSN for a CLA.

Thank you femto!

I've sent them an email! It would be great to have my 7 back in fully working order, though at the moment I fully enjoy my recent Zorki 1 and yesterday I developed my first B/W film since last summer. My first film ever in Calbe R09/(~Rodinal). It came out a bit thin (Tri-X 400TX@1600, 1+50 for 22 minutes) but otherwise it looked fine. I should have made sure the lightmeter had fresh batteries, I guess.

Another mechanic in Freiburg, Germany is:

Objektiv Fotomechanik
Schwarzwaldstr. 99
D-79117 Freiburg
Fon: +49 (0)761 - 30427
Fax: +49 (0)761 - 36365

That is where all my non-Leica cameras go.

As far as I remember they are related to each other but split up their business some years ago. So in fact these are two different repair shops now.
hi Thomas-Michael,

are you sure?

following my links to the "About" pages given above showns on both site as owner (or co-owner) M. Diringer. 😕

Hi,

I am sure 🙂 www.weitwinkel.de is Markus Diringer, who is the mechanic of my trust, and the other shop belongs to A. Diringer, whom I do not know from experience.
ah, Thomas-Michael,

you are right!

I didn't notice the different first names! :bang:

the Olympus 35 SP which did get the CLA from Andreas Diringer is my first old RF, so I can't compare it to another one, but IMHO the CLA was well done!
