There was this classified ad for an item that I was interested in (a Linhof 4x5 for what it's worth). I wrote the seller a PM at the time. He just got back to me today, but now I find the ad is gone, probably expired.
It would be a pretty expensive purchase, so it'd be nice to look at the original photos and item description, also to have *any* kind of basis for discussing with the seller - after all it was a complex package with a lot of accessories and now that the ad is gone I don't remember every single thing that was listed in it.
Is there a way to get those things back or are they gone forever?
I wonder if it's really such a good idea to have ads disappearing completely. I realize that this is a revenue problem for the site but really how much revenue would be lost if ads would be permanent (maybe with the text locked) like photo.net does it? Maybe there is some other way?
