I have this SLR I'm wanting to sell so I can fund my great search for a Bessa R3a. Being a RF forum and all, is it bad form to sell overtly non-RF gear in the classifieds? I saw mostly forum-appropriate gear being sold when I was looking in there. I couldn't find any threads addressing it either.

On a related note, are there any other good places to sell besides everyone's fav auction site? All the dealers give pennies compared to what they sell them for. I'd rather this stuff go to someone who will use it and create some nice art anyway! Maybe even cuddle with it 😛

Thanks kids!

I purchased a very nice pair of Olympus OM1 and OM2 cameras (SLR's) on line thru RFF. I don't think there was anything out of line with the post or the transaction.

I too must confess to the sin of buying an SLR from a RFF member on this forum. However, my absolution came from knowing he used the proceeds to buy more rangefinder equipment.

I recall a Minolta X700 package (or was it the X370) that sold here within minutes not too long ago

I personally am looking for a good Holga.. but my budget is only $120 so I haven't had any luck

To borrow from Mr Heston...

RFF is PEOPLE!*

*Meaning, RFF is a group of people who are into rangefinders, not just about rangefinders. Besides, what could be more noble to the cause of rangefinders than putting an SLR up on the block to buy a rangefinder?

No sorry, not an F2. It's a lowly N90s with MB-10 vert grip.. very nice shape! That and a Nikor 85mm f/1.8D AF, and Nikor 20mm f/2.8D AF. All nice equipment and well cared for.. but I'll put the details in the ad 🙂

This is the 35mm Classified section, not the RF-35mm Classifieds.

About the only thing I've seen complaints about is putting an item on an Ebay auction and then posting a link to it in the classifieds. Kind of out-and-out inviting a bidding war between members. Giving members a "first-Shot" at buying it, then moving it to an Ebay auction after a fair period is always understandable.

I Just got the Leicaflex with Summicron from Chris! That baby is built!

Yeah, X-700 - and I was the happy buyer 🙂
Never had any objections re SLR gear being advertised - and I don't think I've seen any objections from other people, either....

Regards,

Denis
