Don't know, if this belongs here:
Just recognized, that in the last weeks a lot of ads are from members who haven't posted even once besides that ad. Always liked to buy from someone with reputation (if she or he is active in this forum, even if they have been selling the first time) - but have a hard time to trust the 0-posts sellers. Well - must have spread around that there are a lot of committed photographers on this forum, willing to feed their GAS....

I noticed this too.

and they're dumping their M9's for 5K hoping to get a 10K M10.
I have noticed that too, and agree that everyone should proceed with caution in any direct online sale. Buyers and sellers. Everyone has different comfort levels for these transactions. It is perfectly fine to ask questions, and of course only say yes after you are 100% comfortable with the sale.

Adding a Ebay feedback feature would be nice for this. I've seen it on other classifieds.
I still find the Feedback system here goofy. I should have like 10 positive feedbacks but I don't know if I have more than 1. I can't even figure out how to give positive feedback to others (plus it probably has been too long) now.

Yeah, the feedback system here is hard to use. I can't remember how to get onto it; I'd have to search some thread to find out how.

i don't see the point of such a gratuitous comment. isn't this thread about caution in regard to unfamiliar sellers? what difference does it make what's being sold or for how much or why?

Some of these zero post sellers might be active members in other online forums. I think there must be always caution and proper communication between the seller and buyer regardless how reputable the member is.
