There appears to be an evidently clean CLE available with only 16 hours left at about $210 right now...it comes with flash, 90 mm (by appearance only) and original strap. The questions being asked are not responsively answered so if the bidding rises dramatically I'd leave off, but with less than a day left and less than 300$, it might be worth a chance. The remarkable thing about it is that the questions asked were reasonable and the guy answering them was out of left field...either a non-english speaker or on drugs...fun reading but not raising the confidence level of a potential bidder. I've already got my CLE's so I won't be bidding, but I am certainly intrigued. However, if I were, I'd bid about $489.75 with one minute to go...unless by that time its already above that...but that's 2 pm tomorrow (est) and most will be at work...ah, the mighty draw of the miraculous CLE! If anyone here picks it up I'd like to hear how it looks and works...I am officially cut off from buying any more...my wife has declared our domicile as a CLE stable environment...no further additions. (Oh, and I have no connection to this sale, other than wishing I could bid...)

If I were not down here in Champaign Illinois I'd offer to help. I'd almost be asking about serial numbers to see if it's hot. He did not answer the question about in person pick up. I'd be asking if he would take cash in person. This would scare away a scam. Problem is he might never list the question. Might never answer the serial number question.

If I were in the market I have to say it'd worth a try but only if I can test/touch it before I hand over the cash.

Very interesting though.

0 feedback - that's about all I need to see to stay away.

I did ask the serial number and local pick up questions. We'll see if they put it up.

There'll be another nice CLE on ebay soon as I'm putting mine up as soon as I can be bothered to take some pix of it. I'm spending all my time enjoying the sun at the moment. It's a rare occurance here in the UK.

It's your camera........ and your money, but why not put it up for sale here first?

You're right Bill, and I probably will put it here first but just being a bit too idle to do anything right now.

Kuvvy,

Thanks.

While I'm not in the market for a CLE, the CL/CLE family is a wonderful set of cameras and there was a time when I lusted in my heart for one. Lots of folks out here would are still in lust and I'm sure it will go to a good home.

I know it will be hard to part with it. It's a good camera indeed and small and with a quiet shutter too. I just haven't shot a roll through any film camera in quite a while, which is a shame. My Hexar Silver has had even less use recently.
Last year I bought an Epson V500 scanner, developing gear and some Diafine developer and started doing my own b&w processing. My results have been okay rather than excellent and I think I lost heart in doing it. My scans regardless of what film I used and what settings I tried were always grainy. You can see some examples of the better ones on my Flickr site. I have considered shooting colour again and then converting it to mono afterwards.
I've been considering putting roll of the new Ekatr 100 through the cameras before selling, but then it may make me change my mind about parting with them. I'm currently using an Epson RD1 and the Lumix LX3. I recently bought a 15mm Heliar for the RD1 but hae never tried it on the CLE, that might be nice too.
