Hello everyone!
What cleaner fluid would you recommend for soviet lenses. I have a collapsible I-22 with greasy lens that needs to be cleaned but I'm afraid of damaging the coatings. I've heard that alcohol based cleaners may damage coatings of old lenses so should I just avoid them or are there any other concerns. Should I get some special cleaner or do the common cleaners work OK. I have acetone laying around but is that bit too excessive.
I thank you for your advice in advance.

Rubbing alcoohol has water in it, doesn't it?

If you use a little on a tissue and don't spill half a gallon to soak into the lens, it's fine.
