Cleaning Kiev 4 VF and RF

I have a Kiev 4 with meter and it's VF and RF windows are dirty. I tried removing the front plate, but I can't really take it off the camera because I think that the light meter is a problem. I just can't go off. I removed the six screws on the front mask and that's it.

Can someone help? Also, do I have to remove the top plate because I wouldn't like to do it?

Have you seen the Kiev Survival Site? If no, the front plate removal is shown here:

And yes, most optical surfaces are not accessible without removing the top plate.
