Just wondering how to clean the aperture and shutter numbers on the GW lens? I have an older model and wanted to clean up some of the dirt inside the numbers on the lens. Anyone know a good solution?
If the speeds and aperture work ok just ignore any signs of grease or dirt and don't worry, if not take it to a repair man, that's my advice. I have one of these camera's and they are too good to muck around with if you don't know what your doing!
I agree. If you use a solvent to get rid of the junk, some will likely get under the rings and mess up the movement of the shutter speed and aperture dials. Other than a toothpick and a clean tissue, I would leave well enough alone.
H2O. A Q-Tip damped with water works wonders on such things. Or a soft damp clean rag. Notice I said "damp" - not soaking dripping wet. Anything else stronger might remove the coloring.
