When you least expect it, you hear the dreadful click which is driving the world mad ... Wherever you be, on land and sea, you hear that awful click of the amateur photographer, Click! Click! Click!

Musical comedy act of the 1890's
Found in 'Death at Bishop's Keep by Robin Paige

The click click click has a significant advantage that those comedians could never have anticipated. At least you knew when somebody had finished their photography and you can carrying on walking or move in front of them, unlike the iPhone user who stands holding their phone aloft for minutes on end and hogging the scene.

iPhone, schmyphone, just walk in front of them. If they want courtesy they need to get a real camera! :)

What's more annoying are the digicams that make that 'click-whirrr' sound like a motordrive Nikon.

I agree... I've been in situations where iphone users are 20 feet away froma subject. As a wide angle gu, I have to get close... so I just go up cloe and do what I have to do. They give me dirty looks, but honestly... they should just go closer too.

I'll drink to that. But then, I'll drink to practically anything.

People with cameras (or even iPhones) have a few seconds' grace. If they're too indecisive to shoot, or if they're waiting for the light to change -- well, I'm not going to be in shot for long.

Cheers,

R.

I had to get used to hearing that sound with every chick in cafes around here using their cell phone cameras to check themselves out every few minutes.
