Folks, what are the options for close focusing (around 70cm, as opposed to 1m) 35mm lenses in Leica M mount? With speed around f/2?

Plenty, among others:

CV 35/2.5 PII, Summicron 35/2 (v > 1), ZM Biogon 35/2, CV 35/1.2, CV 40/1.4 all are .7m.

The goggled Summicron 35/2 v1 has .6m.

The 40/2 Summicron-C variants are .8m.

Roland.

a lot to like about that cv 35 p2 if you can live with a f2.5

Really wish my Bessa-T would go that far (0.7m). I've taken quite a number of shots that were out of focus before I found out that the RF roller disengages at 0.9m..

Roland, Avotius, thanks!

Goggled 'cron is no option I guess, since am planning to use it on M4.

The Skopar shot looks very good. I've arranged an LTM 35/2.8 already, so it's a bit close in speed, but still an option to consider.

I wonder what are the chances of 35 Ultron reissued soon in close-focusing M mount..

It works the same on the M4.

Note: Even though the M4 has 35mm framelines, the goggles must not be removed or else the lens will not focus correctly using the rangefinder.

I can confirm this. In fact the goggled 35mm lenses bring up 50mm framelines. The purpose of the goggles is to "widen" the 50mm framelines to that of a 35mm perspective.
