I read somewhere some time ago (I can´t recall where) that fuji had made a reflex macro accessory for the G690 rangefinder family which allowed closeup pictures.
Alternatively, it would be possible to do macro by using a close-up lens, a dark cloth, a removable ground glass and 6x9 sheet film (rather cumbersome).
Have any of you had any experience with one of these methods?

I had not heard of the macro accessory, but I doubt it would be that easy to use. For the second method, I think you would need a way to keep trigger the shutter in the lens. As you said, it would be extremely cumbersome. At this point, it would make FAR more sense to just use a view camera. It would be much more flexible and the negative would be bigger as well.

If I recall correctly, that model does have a sheet film back and GG panel as an option. You may like to try one or two of the specialist Fuji sites for more info. I know there have been some questions on PN in the Medium Format section.

Fernando,
You are totally correct in recalling that Fujica made a close-up accessory. It is a device that fits on the front of the lens and at the same time adjusts the focussing in the rangefinder. So it reduces the minimum focussing distance from 1m to 58cm . On the original box it reads "Close-up lens for Fujica GL690 Professional and Fujica GL670 Professional". I could mail a simple photo of the device and the original box to some of you if you mail me at wa@HiTec.at.
