CLUNK w/ GSN

I just realised that the clik and clunk sounds on my GSN may not be being heard when they should.

A friend of mine told me that his GS clicks after the shutter has been released when taking his finger off the relese button. My GSN clunks only after winding on after a shot has been taken. My exposures are perfect.

It is purely academic I'm sure but what's the story - if any?

Peter there is no story. That's how mine work too. When the clunk sounds different and the exposures aren't perfect re ask this question.

I had asked several camera techs. and got a different answer from each.
Hence my paranoid question.
Always best to talk to a user.

Hi again Peter. The clunk should occur in the first 10 or so degrees as you advance the film.

It suppose to click when you pressed the trigger (the clicking is when the rod goes down and grabbed by a "coq", when you wind , the "coq" release the rod, then it should bang up against the "POD", that's when you hear the "clunk" ... It is normal ... If you still get a proper exposed images, leave it alone
