Some poeple have previously expressed an interest in a P&S camera like this: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0902/09021901ricohcx1.asp
Based on its spec sheet it looks like a capable camera. It appears to be a compelling alternative to other small-sensor cameras like the G10 & LX-3.

Well-known
Got my hopes up for a second that it was "large sensor" compact but it still has a tiny 1/2.3" sensor.

Ignore It (It'll go away)
HEY fans of the decisive moment should love the video-like high-speed shooting capability of the CX1. The thing actually keeps shooting after you take your finger off the shutter!
wft? now the camera is shooting instead of the photographer!
Another twist on the ultra-zoom range tiny-sensor compact! Actually it sounds like a pretty cool little camera. The dynamic range double shot mode with the extended dynamic range sounds interesting.
In fairness to the LX3, the LX3's sensor is bigger, 1/1.6.

Ricoh should be be working on the GRDIII soon. And we can hope that it will be equipped with a similar cmos sensor, but bigger ofcourse.
