Coding - Summicron 50mm recognized as 75mm Summicron

Hey,

i bought a Summicron 50mm v4 for my M8 last week.
I have all my lenses coded with a permanen marker.

I use this list:

So, i've coded my 50'cron (black, 4*white, black) but the lens is recognized as 75'cron asph (that would be black, 2*white, black, 2*white).

What's wrong here?

If you are off by just a millimeter, the camera will not recognize the proper coding. Make sure you have the coding marks in the exact position. A 50mm lens does not have to be coded properly on the M8. It is a must for wide angles though. Especially 28mm and less. I wouldn't worry too much about it!

1. The black must be dense enough to be detected as black.
2. Screwheads in the code area will confuse the sensor.

Yes i know, but the code of the 50'cron is totaly different to the 75'cron.
Perhaps the problem is the bayonet itself? It has a screw, which is directly over the IR-sensor when the lens is mounted.

I know that's not really necessary, but it's nice to have correct EXIF.

The permanent marker works fine with my CV lenses. (21 skopar, 35 ultron, 50 nokton)
