Collapsible 5-8 cm recommendations

I'm the very happy owner of a Zorki-3M, a 1957 Jupiter-8, and after a couple tries, a very nice 1976 J-12. I really like to combination of the camera and the small 35 mm lens; but sometimes I'd like something longer that still fits in my pocket. I guess I want a 5 cm collapsible lens, although anything in the 5-8 cm range would be great.

Any suggestions? I'd like something easily available from the Krouchtchev era, since that was really the height of consumer-level reliability, but as is obvious from my 76 J-12, I'm happy to use a good lens from any era.

If you want to stick to FSU lenses, you have a choice of Industar 10, 22 or 50, all of which are 50mm collapsibles. Of those, the I-10 is a bit variable as to where the focus tab "parks" on a Zorki, so a 22 or 50 would be less risky.

Nearly all these lenses are from the 50s and they produce a good, sharp picture. They are all f/3.5.

Stay clear of anything other than the Industar-22 or Industar-50. The early and middle-production Industar-10 (never marked as such?), also more known as the "FED-50" ("ФЭД-50"), had so many variable mounts and focus registers that compatibility with a Zorki-3M will never be known unless tested. The FED-50 of the earlier varieties also had a different lens mount thread which will not make mounting possible.

However, the last of the collapsible FED-50 made for the FED-2 did have standard focus and lens mount threads. This would be those whose focusing tabs LOCK with a friction clip rather than a spring loaded pin. If you should find one, it will likely be useful on your Zorki 3M (and even Leica or Canon).

Thanks for the warning about the Industar-10, ZorkiKat, that's the sort of information I was looking for; I-22 or I-50 it'll be.
