Very nice on film; love the muted colors and BW tones.

It does have some bad characteristics tough: it's not very nice wide open on a Sony NEX - it displays loads of CA, and may appear very soft due to the total lack of contrast, unusual in digital images.
The swirly bokeh and oof highlights are imho a matter of taste, but I can't really say that about the hard edges of the oof wide open, that the lens seems prone to render.

I don't use my Cron Collapsible too often as I have other 50's I prefer but it works quite nicely on my M8 when it makes an appearance.

That is one of the 3 best pictures i've seen on RFF during my (albeit brief) tenure here. Well shot.

Any full-res version, by chance? I could use a new desktop background :p

It's a great lens imo. Not sure what makes it so, but it has a rendering I really enjoy. Very medium-format to me. It's also really great at keeping shadow and highlight details.

Wide open it can work. When I'm at f2 I'm also usually at 1/15th, so sharpness is never really expected.

I also feel it flares less, or in a nicer way that the last pre-aspheric version I borrowed from my friend.
