color adjustment

I am shooting art (paintings) and find that most colors are true with the exception of reds. The red always then to look rather orange and I am unable to capture the vivid intensity of this particular color.Using PS tools when I adjust one color they all tend to change. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I like to shoot in natural indoor light.
