Color-film trials, Fujicolor Industrial 100 (& Industrial 400)

Just a heads up for anyone who uses Fujifilm Industrial 400. Along with Fuji Superia 400 X-TRA, for which discontinuation was officially announced in this announcement last October (with remaining stock expected to last until March this year - its still around and available though), this also appears to be discontinued. Makes sense as they're the same film. Its already out of stock everywhere locally at normal prices. If you can find normally priced stock anywhere, grab it while you can.

Wait, I thought only 3-packs of Superia X-TRA 400 were discontinued? I mean, it could be the harbinger for it being discontinued all together a la Acros and pretty much every other Fujifilm emulsion...

I recal seeing XTra400 in singles for 470 yen at Yodobashi in Shinjuku...also where I picked up packs of 10 of the Business/Imdustrail 400

The days of single rolls of X-Tra 400 are long gone. It’s only available in 3-packs now, while stocks last, because Fujifilm has already announced that its discontinued.

John, just 100iso left? 400iso gone?

Wifey going home for a visit, Maybe she can grab me a brick! In the mean time I still have a few rolls of 100asa...

ISO 400 is long gone. It disappeared before 400 X-TRA did. As soon as Industrial 400 disappeared, I stocked up on 400 X-TRA. And sure enough, some months later 400 X-TRA disappeared too. Puzzles me that its still available overseas...

Thanks for the on the ground report, jonmanjiro! Is it only available in 100-packs? Or are they still selling individual rolls in a bin at Kitamura camera in Shinjuku?

They even introduced some new packaging for it, at least for the US market... the so-called 2018 version.

AFAIK yes. Fujifilm has always only sold it as 100-packs, but Kitamura and others buy and open up the 100-packs and sell individual rolls.

200 135 is best price at $31.99 CDN for 3 pack.

This is a shot of selection on the shelf at London Drugs Metrotown.

I guess this is a regional choice by Fujifilm Canada to continue distribution until stocks run out.
Likewise, Fujifilm Pro 160S 120 (unavailable in USA AFAIK) is still available in Canada. Example $9.97 CDN each at The Camera Store in Calgary AB.

That's a beautiful shot, with great color. Well done.

A shame that Fujifilm continues its march towards the exit with regards to film production.
