Hey guys,
Posted this question over at photo.net as well but thought I'd go ahead and see if I could get some advice here as well.
I have a question regarding 35mm and a 48, 96 and 6 sheet format finish. I'm about to shoot my first commercial job and I'm doing it on 35mm film (as of right now at least). The shoot is on location so I'm trying to take as little gear as possible (middle of Africa, shooting on Leica). Anyway, the agency I'm working with plan to use my background plates and photos for a print campaign, including big city prints such as the ones mentioned above.
Since I'm fairly new to this and doing it on film I wonder if 35mm negative will handle this type of size and what I need to think about when taking taking pictures for the different print formats? Lots of space around the objects, series of photos to cover panoramas, scan size of the negative etc. The work will of course be put together later in Photoshop. I also have a smaller digital Leica that shoots RAW as backup.
Perhaps I should be doing this on medium format but considering how quickly this job came together I only have these options available to me at the moment.
I would appreciate any type of advice greatly as I'm being given my first real break here. Type of film, E6 or color neg, etc.
Many thanks!
