Combat Camera - Graflex KE-4

We made great cameras and lenses here at one time. I have roots in Rochester were this was happening. It is sad we no longer compete. And Kodak walking away from the digital revolution after creating it is saddening.

The YT vid brought all that back.

I can't speak to the "fun" aspect, however I lost all interest in this particular youtube channel after viewing its video about the Apollo Hasselblads. I don't consider myself any sort of expert, at all, about those, even if I have read the NASA reports about photography during the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs. Yet, I quickly noted various factual inaccuracies throughout. If I need to learn more than I already know about the 70 millimetre Graflex camera at some point, I will seek out reliable sources of information.

Interesting. I've watched grainydays on and off, mostly for his humour.

I've got my own "Texas Leica", the Fujifilm 690 Pro (v1). Hopefully it has a few more miles left in it than I do so there won't be a need to send it off for repair.

I kind of like his videos, though I sometimes get a bit tired of the whiney schtick. And like most Youtubers these days you have to take what he says about any one camera with a grain of salt, then cross check it with other sources. But since I have no interest in another obscure camera model, it's still interesting to see what his experience using it was like. Of course, if I happened to come across one in a dingy junk shop or at a yard sale, I likely wouldn't pass it up if the price was right.
