I prefer to think of it as the world's only mostly brass 272 Sonnar.That's really good! I'm guessing the spacing between groups is way off on the original Barrel.
You now have the Heaviest "272" series Sonnar ever produced.

So, why use a CZJ 166 series Sonnar in Contax mount as the donor optical fixture? Because I had a couple, one of which has better glass than the other one. I have a CZJ original LTMs in 267, 279 and 280 series that would have worked fine, but again, were pretty good lenses. All of those lenses look like they survived a war, alloy barrels are beat up, but glass is OK aside from some minor damage. This is from the 279 series. Not as good as some of the others, but still acceptable. The optical fixture of this lens looks like a disaster on the inside, scratched, some atrocious machining, no variable setback ring, and even some file marks. Looks can be deceiving.
