I would really like to see Sigma release their SD15 so I can get my SD14 files but from a much faster camera. Waiting for the SD14 to write raw files is like watching paint dry.
Yes, the SD14 is slow. I bought an SD14 body NIB when they were blowing them out for $249 USD. I should have bought a couple, now you can't touch them for that price, the stockpile is all gone.
I see the SD14 as an essentially different camera than my Pentax K200D or *ist DS. I will use it primarily for activities other than action shots, as it is not really good at that.
I also want a split-image viewscreen for my SD14, as I am very unhappy with my ability to focus manually close-up with M42 lenses I've attached with an M42 adapter. I understand it's a real bear to get the viewscreen in correctly, but I have to try, or this camera is not going to be what I wanted it to be.
But the image quality? Superb. For this, I can forgive many faults.
