I'll be interested to see the results of tests I'm running this weekend. In 1961 my parents bought a Ansco (Agfa) Super Memar 35mm RF, f2 lens and Compur shutter. Tri-X was a relatively new film then but I shot several rolls with the camera. The grain in the photos was "considerable" although developing may have had something to do with that (don't remember what developer I used). I still have some of those negatives.

Anyway, I still have that Super Memar which is in excellent shape. It hasn't been used in at least 25 years -- probably longer. So, I'm going to run a roll of the current Tri-x through it and see what kind of photos it can produce today -- sort of like putting radial tires and modern shocks on the 1956 Ford I drove as a teenager.

If the camera works--and it seems to be functioning OK, I'll try to post a sample of the 1961 photos and present day results.

I have the Minolta Hi-Matic 9 that I bought new in 1969 after a summer of mowing lawns. The results then with Kodachrome II were great, and the results from it with present day color film, are great.
