just made a quick comparison of manual focus lenses on a modern digital, nothing special, NOT scientific, no special light, only for my interest;
all widest open as the lens allows, no pp, second series cropped for detail.
All of them do their job, what I have seen I prefer OM 1,4/50, FD 1,2/50 and Leitz Summarit.
Canon SSC has some flare as you see at the edge chrome/colour, Minolta MD 1,2/50 lacks contrast and sharpness whilst the older (and cheapest here) MC 58 did also well.
Here is the output of the Leitz Summarit 1,5/50, in my eyes clearly different to the others, look at the rear section of the bike,
