Hey David,
That is cool. I saw one of those once many years ago and the person who had it described it as a salesman case. Something the Leica reps would carry around to show prospective dealers the complete line of items for the camera. He could have been mistaken though.

Got two of those cases, although they are different. Will take some pics to share.
Tim,thanks for the info. Alwas wondered what those cases where good for. Not really much practical as a daily use case.

They would be good for salesmen but rich photographers like expensive Leica stuff. Practicality doesn't come into it at times. The smaller ETTRE case is practical.

It sure would make organization and protection a lot easier around here.
But, now I am thinking of another Leica IIIf myself to replace mine (just a camera and a lens, no fancy case though). It has been a few years but I think it is time to return to good times!

It's a great looking kit. I'm especially intrigued by that Hektor 65 2.8 lens. Really well written ad. The British seem so much more well spoken and polite than us crude Americans.
What I especially liked were the other cameras featured on the bottom of the ad. That Balda CA 35 is just like a Minox (and maybe it would actually work, unlike the Minox that I owned).
