Composing 6x7 and 6x9 photos on Polaroid 600SE

Hey

Just wondering if anyone has experience using 120 film backs on the Polaroid 600SE and whether it's possible to compose photos intuitively through the rangefinder (which i'm presuming is set for polaroid sized shots), or, alternatively, if the regular ground glass back has guide lines for framing 6x7 and 6x9 shots.

Just got the Mamiya M adapter and a film back but not keen on wasting too much film on awkwardly composed photos!

The inner frame does do for 6x7 on a 150mm lens - the format diagonal for the Polaroid (quarter plate size) frame is about 135mm, that for 6x7 around 91mm, so both have a ratio of 1:1.1 to the 150mm respectively 100mm lens, and the side ratio is close enough as well.

For anything else you'd have to get a stick-on frame mask. I don't know which versions Polaroid sold, and even if they ever made any to match roll film holders, they might be near impossible to get hold off, but it is trivial to cut your own from stiff paper or opaque plastics - the difficult part will be to find out the proper cutout. That is, it would be relatively easy if you own a ground glass back to project onto the scenery, but anything else will drift off into many rounds of trial and error.
