computer drawing tablet info?

Does anyone here know anything about computer drawing tablets? "Santa" may have to bring one this year and I need to get up to speed quickly. Info on brands, models, and features I should look for would be helpful. Thank you!

Right now my only lead is a Wacom Cintiq 12wx.

OK. Seems you are playing in another league.
I have the Wacom Bamboo Medium and it's perfect for me. I still prefer the mouse and use the tablet only when I do some masking in Photoshop Elements because then I need the accuracy and the pressure control of the tablet.
Before you buy it. Take a piece of paper in the size of the tablet and see if it fits on your computer table 🙂
