Computer hardware forum?

Suggestions for computer forum?
I'm considering building a pc and will likely need some help/advice, etc and while there are lots of forums I'm hoping to find one similar to RFF in the way we are generally decent to new folks and are happy to offer good help.

I just wandered into the hardware section here. I go to www.tomshardware.com when I look for information, but only lurk in their forums.
