I am sorry to come late to this thread, I have an E-P5 since almost one year and I can say it is an excellent and versatile camera.
Shutter shock depends on the lens but with the lenses I have it was 100% solved by the specific firmware update through the 0 Anti-Shock setting
I have two copies of the 14-42 (II and II R) and they perform equally ok, better than you would expect, there are anyway other lenses that are much sharper, such as the Panasonic 14-45.
VF-4 is great, it adds some bulk but it's bright and big and improves ergonomy
