Snorting silver salts
Saw your blog post just now Nick.
Great stuff there too!
May I ask, what scanner and resolution?

Enjoyed your latest blog post, Nick, with this lens and color film. I certainly agree it can do nice things with color:

Great shots all! Nick, I used a Canon 35/1.8 on a trip to London and Paris on at Canon IVSB with great results. I used the same Canon 35 external viewfinder, and it was a tiny rig. I shot Fuji and LegacyPro 400. One with me, one with the lens:

Thanks for the comments
buzzardkid - I stopped scanning my negs a while ago as it took too long. I now have my pro lab do it (Rapid Eye, Old St). They use a professional scan, but scan at low resolution - it's a 'DKS 1500'. They tell me they try not to sharpen or have images too sharp in fact - I might often tweak a bit in PP.
Nut I think the sharpness of these photos has more to do with the excellence of the lens on this occasion - just compare it to the blog entry before, with scanned negs by the same machine, but with a lomo type camera.

I found it!!! EUREKA!!!!
I found it!!! EUREKA!!!!
I got to this old thread by googling Canon 35/1.8 LTM. I found this lens few months ago, and since then, I have gotten the Canon 35/2 ltm, and other 35mms, but this is the lens that lives on my M9 and even on my M8. It is absolutely sharp and has a great booked. Here are some samples of this beauty:
