Just applied the update (followed the instructions to the letter) and now the LED light that indicates buffering to the card, is constantly flashing red and nothing is being written to the card
I've tried two other cards, same result. The only way I can get the buffer light to stop flashing is to take the battery out, but then the minute I take a shot, it does the same thing all over again and nothing is getting written to the card...it's stuck in a loop. Anybody else experience this? Can you re-apply the firmware update as a possible fix? Sigh.

just a wild guess, but I would reload

basically re-download the firmware update, and install it again.
Hope this works for you. I had no issues with my ugrade, luckily.

Odd. I didn't have a problem with either of my cameras. Might be worth a call to Leica service to see what they recommend. Otherwise try starting from scratch with a new download on a different, freshly formatted card. Make sure your battery is fully charged and let the update run to completion without interrupting it in any way.
