Contax G 45mm Planar LTM conversion

I assume that's an Industar helical, RCB ? Do you have more photos on how you attached it ? Cool mod !

Roland.

Yes, the base is an I61. I removed the lens module and bored the throat to accept the larger diameter Planar lens assembly. Other than trimming a bit of the height of the I61 focus ring, that was all I did to the Industar portion. Before "discovering" the Industar I had been trying to design around a Jupiter 8 and it just didn't lend it self to the conversion.

Excellent!!!

Guees the upper part is the planar original mount, then yiu made an aluminium part, and finally there is the I61 mount, doest it?

😀

Close, the upper part is really two pieces: the aperture ring and its upper guide. The lens elements are in a single module that is fastened to the bare aluminum mid section. The mid section is actually two pieces that I fabricated. It mounts to the Industar portion and provides a base to mount the lens module.

Congrats, it really looks great like old canon´s which i love.

BTW did you made any finishing to the middle section for instance anodized?

I´m trying myself to design a universal style mount in which i can set many lenses such as the 45/28 of the ocntessa series or the lenses of the minuluxes and CM´s....

But my great problem is the diaphragm...do you know how to make one or some factory that can provide such an element?
