Contax G and IR film

I have been working on some landscape subject with IR digital and was not happy with the resolution, so am embarking on film IR, namely Rollei 400 IR. Neither my Leica lenses or the Contax G2 seem to have anticipated IR focus issues. Is there a solution for this?
The G2 manual does not address IR.

f8 or f11 always worked for me shooting much HEI in my ContaxG with a 25A filter. Remember that a good part of the light the film is recording is in the visible spectrum. DOF covers all the issues.

Well maybe it is not the good place to ask but since the G works with IR focusiing, what would happen If I made picture of wellding or, let's say; in a steel factory ? All thses stuff just cast IR everywhere no ?

I like film. - I have an XA on my belt loop as I type. Shoot digital too. One of the things that digital simply excels at, however, is shooting IR. Solution? Use the great Contax G camera/lenses for something else. My best IR stuff has come out of a cheap IR-converted Nikon Coolpix. And I don't have to shoot at f11 either... and it's hassle free and less expensive.

Agreed, I have a Canon 50d converted to IR, but the resolution is not as good as film. I used to shoot 4x5 Maco IR and was satisfied with the resolution, so I figure the apc sensor on the 50d
might be the problem.
