Hello everyone, I took my G1 to the Virgin Islands with me. Here are some shots I got with it. http://flickr.com/photos/31012019@N00/sets/72157600157391139/
The color shots are with Fuji Superia 400. The B&W shots are with either Fuji Acros in Rodinal 1:50 for 14 min or Kodak Tri-X in Xtol 1:1 for 9 min. Just click the shot for info in the tags.

Hi Scorpius
Had a look at the shots - I liked your colour stuff better than the B&W's - dunno why, composition a bit better (?), maybe cos you were a bit closer to the subject matter. Looks like a great place to visit. I shoot with G2's myself...G lenses are spectacular aren't they?
regards

Hi Scorpius73,
I like img016 (open door/window) best of your set. The others are nice vacation pictures but the open window has a bit more to it, nice shot. And btw. of course it depends on the weather but sailboats are more interesting with sails set... Hope you enjoyed the Islands.

Shaken, so blurred
Just putting my Canon hat on for a moment (and don't tell your friend) if that really was a 28-135 IS lens then its not an "L" and not regarded as one of Canon's better lenses. I have one and I put it in the "not as bad as people say" category. Its a bit unfair to be comparing a mid-range Canon zoom to a Zeiss(!) prime - you kind've took advantage in that competitiontoyotadesigner said:A friend just bought a new Canon 5D DSLR with a 28-135mm L IS USM and told me this 'expensive' zoom lens doesn't have any distortion or CA.
I've only run a couple of rolls through my new/old G2 - but I'm loving the lenses already.
...Mike

well, i took my nikon f100 with ais primes. the 24mm f2, 35mm f2, 50mm f1.2 and 105mm f2.5. they are good. but dont match my contax 45mm f2. you can see of them when you click my virgin islands set.
