Hi Everyone,

I had been used SLR for years and about half year ago I got a G1 system from Ebay and I love it. Now my Canon Elan II most time is sitting on the shelf....

Anyway, the thing of G1 is it doesn't have the traditional way of manual focusing. I find it's no fun. So i've been looking around some real Rangefinders to play with. I am putting my eyes on Bessa due to the value/price.

Since I don't know much of CV, I am just wondering where I should start with. I mean I notice a lot of ppl buying CV because they already own various lenses fit on Bessas. I don't have any these kind of lenses so it will be a fresh investment. (I do have G1 lenses and I don't think they can be used on Bessas right? if they can then it will make my life much easier). What will be a good choice? the R +35/2.5 combo or R3a + 40/1.4. I mean what would be good for a G1 shooter? With my G1 I use the 45 lens most time. I do street photography most time. btw i don't want to give up the G because of the lenses quality and the low noise.

Thanks.

Last year I got a Zorki 4 and a Kiev 4 for nearly the same reason, but when I go out shooting I always grab the G2. This year I bought a used G1 which hasn't been updated for the 35mm and believe it or not, I couldn't send it to Kyocera since I have allways a film in it 🙂

The other camera, Yashica Electro, Kiev and Zorki, Rollei 35, various Contax SLRs and so on, don't get used at all.
