Hey guys, my G2 died yesterday night and I grabbed the spare CR2s(brand new) out of my bag and swapped em out. Shot some photos at a concert and went on with my night. Everything was fine.
I headed to school to work in the darkroom and noticed my G2 was making an audible ticking sound, like a succession of 32th notes (for you musicians out there, just super fast ticking). This is happening with the camera turned off. I tried to figure out what was happening at the moment but there was no self timer on, nothing else stood out. The ticking noise stops when I turn the camera on. But once I turn the camera off, it starts again.
I went to grab it from my bag earlier and the batteries were dead. Fresh pair, dead. I think ta because it ticked through the night and died from that. So not I'm hesitant to leave it turned off because it will died and that's another $12 in the hole.
Has anyone had this happen to them? I have no clue where to even start, and my camera is halfway through a roll, so I can't open it up yet.
