Contax II

My new (to me) Contax II wearing a Jupiter 8M.
It arrived this week from Mike Kovacs (thanks Mike).

I took its picture after coming in from shooting a roll of APX400 in the -20C windchill.

the Contax was prefered by the Russians in cold weather shooting.
maybe that is why it was on their list in war reperations from Germany.

Congrat's on your new Contax Peter... I'm sure you'll love it! The j-8 is a very respectable performer on a II as well. You can see some of my results with this combo. in my colour gallery.

Contax II's are great. I love mine no matter how much the new acquisition overshadows it 😀

Looking at your shot.. it reminded me why Aurora is too far north for me. Shocking to see all that snow up there; the streets are clear and the daffodils are blooming here in Toronto.. (joke!)

Just picked up a Contax ll with 50mm/1.5 Sonnar for £120, (including shipping) - $230 in US money

Described as excellent condition.

Photos look good with a few Zeiss bumps
